getting married
Hi there,
I'm a Belgian citizen living in Belgium and getting married in November by
the civil law to a US citizen living in Miami.
On my B2 visa it says "... visiting US citizen fiancee for 2 weeks..." and I
travel there every month and never been denied at the POE (which is really
good). The thing is that we'll get married also by the church in Miami in
December. So I need to go to Miami in December. We don't plan to live there
now but only in 3 years. So she will move to Belgium in January after our
wedding.
Last day, I went to the US embassy in Brussels to get some papers for her
and finaly we discussed about my B2 visa and they told me to apply for a new
one after we get married in November in Belgium.
Now I'm really scared to apply and be denied at the US embassy and I really
wouldn't like !!
If somebody can help me it can be great !
Bye

The first question is: why do you have a B-2 visa in the first place? As
far as I know, Belgian citizens are eligible to use the visa waiver
program, which should be fine here.
As for whether or not you need to get a new visa, check whether it is a
single-entry or multiple-entry visa. If it is a multiple-entry visa, and
still valid in December, you don't have to worry. You can still use it.
When you go back to Miami, do be sure to have strong evidence that you
will indeed return to Belgium, or else you risk being denied admission.
