getting driver license for my fiance K1 visa
Hi,
My fiance came to US on a K1 visa and we got married couple of weeks
ago However,She needs driver license.
If I apply for work permit, then can she apply for driver license?

The two are not immediately related... You need to post what state you are
living in or find the web site for that state's Dept of Motor Vehicles.
Regulations and documents required vary from state-to-state.

living in or find the web site for that state's Dept of Motor Vehicles.

If SHE applies for a work permit, she can get a SSN.
Many states require this for a DL.
So, what did your DMV tell you she needed?

my fiance got his liscense here last summer. all he needed was a TIN (tax
identification number). go to to the IRS tax site and fill out the form.
takes about 2-3 weeks.

I asked at the DMV in my state and they said you don't have to have a
green card - you just have to be here legally and bring proof. They
have a list in the DMV office of what qualifies as proof.

A more realistic time frame for receiving the ITIN (by filing a W-7
form and reporting in person at a local IRS office) is 6 to eight
weeks.

For instance, while your fiance could obtain a drivers license in your state with a TIN number, Virginia DOES NOT permit a TIN to be used to obtain a drivers license; only a SSN. Since neither you nor the OP mentioned which states you're from, the information you've provided here could be erroneous.
