Default G-325 Employment Question

Hi there

My USC fiance is currently finishing his Masters degree and so has worked sporadically over the past 5 years doing freelance math tutoring and some part time work as a doorman in a hotel.

We are a little confused about how to fill out the list of his employers over the past five years.

Should we put 'student' as the first entry 2006-present?
How would we input freelance math tutoring as he has had over 100 different families as employers?
Should we list gaps in freelance tutoring as 'unemployed' even though he was still studying?

Many thanks

I wouldn't list student in the employment category, no, unless he's employed there and earning some income from the university.

I'd put "freelance math tutor" under job title, and then "various" under employer, then the range of dates he's been dong that.

I wouldn't list the gaps, as they aren't asking what he did all those years, they are only asking for his employment during those years.

What Rene said, except that I would enter student 2006-present, even though it's not employment. It does show what he's been doing for those 5 years in addition to the actual sideline employment.
