Yes, the last two years have been a roller coaster of trying to figure out what to do. It could have been a very easy process if I had just gotten the proper tax form. Appreciate all the attempts at help though. I wouldn't have gotten this far without all the pointers

Part of my confusion in the current state of this thread is that I can’t tell if OP wants to withdraw the visa petition or to halt the visa application process.

I'm not sure I understand the difference between the two.

However, now that I have learned that both processes can continue without impacting the other, we are going to continue with the IR 1.
