Friend who is on F1, now marrying
My friend is on F1 (on OPT actually) and will soon be marrying in his native country India. What are the requirements/procedure that he needs to follow to bring is wife as a dependent (F2) ?
How soon can his wife join him in US ?

She needs to apply at a US consulate in India for an F-2 visa. He doesn't
need to do anything, except provide her with documentation (the same as
what he needs to get his F-1 visa, plus a copy of all pages of his
passport, including front and back cover, plus a copy of their marriage
certificate)

As soon as the F-2 is approved. I don't know current processing times in
India, sorry.
