I just canceld my marriage tour to Russia. even though iost $325 deposit. i did the
right thing. it won't work for me and waiting 4 months for my fiancee to come to
america is ridiculous and finding a wife abroad itself is more ridiculous. i am gonna
find my wife here in good ol' america and i just have to try harder. for those of you
with forgeign fiancees good luck.

It may be that your-american-to-be-wife is a foreigner on non-immigrant visa
Then
you still have to go through the fiancee visa thingy![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Have you tried to take advantage of the LIFE act that came into effect this year?
Filing for the K-3 Visa (think thats what its called, info on the INS site) using the
I-129F form will let your spouse into the country whilst you await your relative visa
approval. My husband and I are going to be doing that ourselves very soon. We were
told by an INS officer that we could file them at the same time to the new office.
Just a bit of info, hope it helps

And do you think you'll find a 19-year-old American woman who will marry you faster
than you would have taken to get a Russian fiancee here?
Seems you're not all that interested in love, just having a wife for some reason.
Heaven knows what that reason is!

It seems that the old saying is true about thinking that the grass is greener on the
other side of the fence (or world).

Hey, wanna' get married? My husband has been in Trinidad for 4-1/2 years. I haven't
seen him since we married there 3 years ago, Jan 1999. Who knows when or if I'll ever
see him again. Hell, I'll get a divorce and marry you! LOL.
Whaddya say? Maybe we can go to the Caribbean for honeymoon and drop-in and say hello
to ex-hubby. LMAO
I wish it were that easy for me. But I'm in love with him. Your case is different. At
least you can stop before that happens.
If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't fall for a non-citizen. No way. Too much
heartache and turmoil. Marriage is hard enough w/o all that extra stuff. But it's too
late for me.
Hey, good luck to you. You should go to a dating service in your area. You never
know, someone may be right around the corner just for you. Just make sure they're
citizens. LOL. I think you made the right decision not going.

He's just as well to give up. He keeps mentioning a 2 to 4 month wait for her to come
to the US. He would be terribly disappointed to find out the true time wait.
