Here's mine. Nothing much controversial at all!
Hi all,
I've been using some other forums to ask questions, but I just came across this one, and I have to say I like it alot! :-)
I have a few concerns, and I wanted to see what others have experienced. First off, I filed the I129f in Aug, but I never received a NOA. I called after 30 days and started an inquiry so that they would send me a copy. They said it could take another 30 days to get it. Well, it's almost the end of the 30 days, and still no letter! However, I'm not so concerned now because I was able to request a copy of the cashed money order from Western Union, and I hope that has a receipt number on it. If I don't get a letter from them, and the money order doesn't have a number on it, what else can I do to get a receipt number?? Has anyone else had probs getting NOA's from TSC??
My fiance, whose a British citizen thru his folks, was actually born in South Africa. We had a concern about how he should get his police certs from there. The London Embassy told him one thing on the phone, and the South African Embassy says something diff on their website. Which would be more accurate? And are we correct in assuming, since he does not plan on going back to SA (passport expired), that he can go ahead and request a cert? Or can the police cert only be so old (i.e. can't be more than 3 months old)??
When he finally receives packet 3, if he already has the necessary docs and returns the packet right away, how long can it take to be given an interview?
If anyone can help relieve some anxiety, I appreciate it!!

That gives me an idea for a game: Next time one of those trollish types shows up, we respond only by copying and pasting from actual posts by previous trolls. Bonus points for matching styles and a double bonus if it's the same poster using a new ID.

Interesting game, but the trick is how quickly the troll gets identified. It could go five or more pages if they've done a good job. Alternately, when you get threads like that canada_better guy did today, where the trolly intent is identified and closed/deleted before anyone has a chance to reply (which is always a shame).
