Re: Final Queries
Thank you everyone for the updates on getting transcripts sent from the US to the UK! I've updated my 'database'. :D

Ok so my wife is back from the IRS at the embassy. They printed out 2007 2008 and 2009 information on her taxes and stamped IRS on it.
But i'm now worried that this may not be enough. I though that this was exactly what we needed. Anyone? My interview is 2 weeks on Friday. You have what you need for your interview. |

Note that ALL of this is going to depend on when your 'cut off' for your own I-864 is. Because you are arching over the change in year, make sure you are documenting the correct thing. What I'm saying is, if you fill it out today, it's one data set, but if you fill it out on Jan 2, it will be another. Could you explain what you mean by the above statement. I don't follow. Cheers |

I'm sorry I dont understand what you're saying. Why would the information be different next year from today?
One example is the income tax return and last year's income totals. If I had to tell you a figure today, for "last year" it would be 2009. If I have to tell you on Jan 2, it would be 2010. |
Re: Final Queries
So ive been going though the checklist for the documents required for the visa interview for DCF in London.
It doesn't say anything about providing ID for the US citizen at the interview. I'm just wanting to double check this query. Thanks |

Re: Final Queries
Ok, thanks.
So the document checklist is for the person applying for the visa right? Meaning I don't need to bring a birth certificate for my USC wife? |

Re: Final Queries
The birth certificate might be one required piece of information for the I-864 though (proof of US citizenship).
|
Re: Final Queries
The approved petition should take care of that? Proof of US citizenship was submitted with the petition, and the whole petition package is there with the visa application?
Still, things do go missing from time to time ... Regards, JEff

Re: Final Queries
True, good point there. Perhaps the IVU doesn't have a photocopy machine, or we shouldn't depend on them to be willing to use it.

The I-864 calls for its own proof of citizenship (or US PR status) attached.

Re: Final Queries
Thanks. It says on the instructions for I864 that you don't need the USC's proff of residence if you filed i130.
I never saw that when i first read it. |
Re: Final Queries
Change the word "residence" to 'status', and you are correct. The issue we've been discussing in the last few posts is status - citizen, LPR, or national. The issue of residence, or domicile, is something else.
