fiance visa
hello all!!
i've been to the us before on a j1 visa,
i didn't overstay or anything, and AFAIK, i'm not subject to the 2 year
residency thing.
i have a SS number.
Now, i'd love to go back to the US and stay there for a couple of months,
and work while i'm there.
AFAIK, the fiance visa allows you to stay in the US and work,
and since you enter the country, you must marry within 90 days.
What happens if i enter the country, but don't get married?
for example, i work for 60 days, then see some sights, and then leave,
before 80 days go by?
would i be denied other visas in the future?
any special advice???
THANK you,
really.

That would be OK, as long as the marriage plans fell apart AFTER you
arrived. If you never planned to get married, then this would be fraud.
Incidentally, don't plan on working with a fiance visa. Some people get
work authorization right at the airport, but most of the time you would
have to apply for it at an INS office after you arrive - and they take a
few months to issue the work authorization.
