On that last post of mine it was supposed to be a quote from mrtraveler from his post.....how do you do the quote thing?

Anyway....Jenney I think you've been a great help and pepsi is being a an a@@.....and no i don't know Jenney either....lol

Julie another good site is www.skyauction.com you can actually bid on flights and you can get really good deals!!!

I'm thinking getting all the paperwork for this fiance visa is harder than the process itself....grrrrrrrrrrr

You seemed to have my quote in the first paragraph without attribution.
I don't disagree with your second paragraph except to say the OP made no
mention that her fiance had a job offer in the US. His income in the UK
would be of no consequence.

Yep i know the first paragraph was yours i didn't know how to do the quote thing...i've figured it out now....he doesn't have to have a job offer....he just has to show he has enough money to support himself and the people he's living here with. If he had a lot of money and could show that he wasn't going to go on assistance then there would be no need for the I-134 (U.S. sponsor) because he has enough of his own money....i put all the instructions about showing support in that post.....the four different ways of showing he wouldn't be a public charge...

Hope you had a good Crimbo! I sent London our original approval notice. I took a big risk, though, as we need it for AOS, and the only way London will give it back is if the approved file has come from TSC by the time of my interview. I didn't see the point in paying more money for cabling. A lot of people have paid and they said it didn't make a blind bit of difference, and with TSC's track record...........

I sent the notice on the Thursday night, they got it on Friday, I had my date by Monday, and packet 4 by the following Thursday. Yippee!!! I just hope I either get the notice back, or it makes it's way to the right office!

Kate. xxxxxx
i'm just wondering Kate.....how did they know to email you the approval? did you email them asking if it was approved? where in the u.k. is your man? Mine lives in Witham, Essex!!! I love it there...i wish i was going there to live instead.

What is in packet 3 and what is in packet 4? Is packet 3 the one where he sends in the checklist? just wondering..i'm so excited i'm going to send my petition in on January 24th...I have sooooooooo much evidence i'm sending they'll have to approve me!!! lol Just hope my fiance gets his but in gear and sends me all his paperwork i need!!! lol he's waiting on court papers talking about his name change when he was a boy. His birth father died when he was 8 so later on when his mother got re-married he took his step-father's last name...

I love him more than anything and hopefully they'll see this is real!!

Not quite... SHE has to have enough income and/or assets. His ASSETS
might help, but my comment was related to his INCOME which would not be
count since it would be gone when he moved to the US and there was no
mentioned that he had a US job offer.

same address before filing petition? I heard it was 2 years. Is having
to leave job (which would cause job to be lost, place to live lost) to

meaning get a lawyer to get my fiance here. May God Bless You All.

Julie:

I can understand your frustration. I recently receive notice from Vermont that our petition was approved and shipped off to Montreal. We filed the K-1 Visa on May 9, 2002 and it was approved on December 24. 2002. I have a friend in California that went through your exact situation. His wife is from the middle east and she is now here without them ever having met prior to her coming. I am not positive on how they did it but it was under what some refer to as a "mail order birde". I don't know what the exact term for INS is as I am very luck to have spent the last two years being able tp spend many weekends with my fiance. I don't know if INS will give you any info on this "lingo" for this type of marriage. Will any luck, someone on this site will have been through this and no what I am referring to with "mail order bride" and be able to give some more info om it.
I hope this gives a least some kind of usual information for you.
Good Luck.
