My fiancee lives in Canada and we are waiting for notification of his interview date
in Montreal. In the meantime...he visited me here over Memorial Dau weekend with his
passport as I.D...it was stamped. Will this cause a problem at the interview for
receiving his visa? I've read that the immigrant may need to prove they are not
intending to illegally stay in the U.S. when a fiancee visa is pending...he wasn't
asked anything at customs. Are we ok?

A lot of future spouses visit the U.S. during the Visa application process. Eddie
has been here twice since we became engaged. There is nothing illegal about
crossing the border for a temporary visit while you are applying for a visa to
legally cross the border to marry, as long as you don't lie to any border guards in
order to gain entry.
