I've always found this forum to be very helpful and people to be very tolerant/nice. I've used it quite a lot.

I guess that's why I'm so surprised by so many of the condescending, and in some cases very smug, responses given on this thread.

Yes, this guy is very young, but people do get married at 17/18 and make things work. He was honest when he posted on here but is being met with a lot of judgment and little help.

They have met only once . They have no means of supporting themselves. They are teenagers. I think we are just being honest. What should we say? You are both young and in love so forget about any responsibility and just go for it?

Disagree. Although, he may not recognize or like the help that's been given. Much of it is probably not what he wanted the hear.
