Early I-751 problem?

I am at somewhat of a dilemma. I have herd that it is not a good idea to
send the I-751 earlier then 90 days before the AOS (two year green card)
expires. Some one told me that if the USCIS gets it earlier then 90 days
they will reject it. But if I send it on the 90 day point which is May 7
then I will have to pay $200 instead of $145. I would like to send it on
April 29th. Is this true about them rejecting the I-751 petition if
received to early or just another Urban Legend? Maybe in a situation as
important as this I should not try and save a buck and just send it at the
90 day period.

It's 90 days before Urban Fact.
My wife and daughter's can go anytime after May 9th so I feel your pain, but
after all the money I have spent so with the petition, plane tickets, phone
bills, etc. an extra $55.00 is drop in the bucket. Mail it on the 7th and pay
the $200.00. Just remember that $55.00 is going to help CIS provide better
service. LOL

If you send it more than 90 days, it will almost certainiy be rejected.
Do yourself a favor, spend the extra $55. Also, make sure it is a full
90 days and not 3 months. Actually, this year Feb 7 - May 7 is 90 days,
(29 Feb 7-Mar 7, 31 Mar 7-Apr 7, 30 April 7 - May 7), but if it were
next year or last year, that would be only 89 days.
