EAD - Interview needed ?
Hi,
Does the applicant for EAD always have to attend for an interview ?
If not, under what circumstances would they have to attend for interview ?
Thanks for any help.

Re: EAD - Interview needed ?
Further questions on this.
My wife received a notice for an appointment for EAD. The notice says she can
go there up to 2 weeks after appointment date to reshedule. If she did
reshedule would that make the process more difficult ?
If she missed the 2 week deadline, would she just have to reapply for EAD ;
I-765 again , or would she have to do ALL the applications again , ( I-485 ,
130 ...) ?
Thanks

Re: EAD - Interview needed ?
There really is no interview. She will get her picture taken, get
fingerprinted & be given a work authorization card.
If she reschedules I would expect to wait just as long as you did for the
first date.
If she missed it all she would only have to reapply for the EAD.

Re: EAD - Interview needed ?
She decided to go to see family while waiting for EAD. If working after EAD ,
there would not be as much free time. Did not know that EAD has to be picked
up in person.
We were worried that missing the EAD appointment would mean ALL applications
such as, I-485, would be considered abandoned.
She will rearrange return flight to be back on time.
Thanks
