EAD 1st experience
I sent off the application for my wifes EAD the beginning of this
month. Today we went to the INS office to do whatever it was they
needed to do . In this case it was take pictures and fingerprints.
Well, our appointment was at 9am. We got there are 8:40am and she
wasnt called until shortly after 10am and then she was only seen for
5 minutes and that was it. There was an average of 50 or more people
at any given time in there. They gave my wife one of those cards to
find out how the INS office there was doing. On the suggestion part I
asked why did it take an hour for us to be seen when we had an
appointment already. We were first in line for it by the way.
I told my wife, now you see why the spouse visa is collecting dust on
the shelf right now.
