DS-156: Question for minor children
Hi,
I had a question on the NIV application form DS-156.
Question 20 Name and address of present employer/School and
Q 33: Do you intend to study in the US?
What do you answer for minors who are going to school? I was told that
answering yes to these is treated as "possible immigrant" and hence
sometimes rejected and that school here means higher studies like grad
school etc. and not middle/elementary school.
TIA

Re: DS-156: Question for minor children
You absolutely have to answer this question honestly.
If the status your children are applying for allows going to school, then
there is no problem. Otherwise, they are simply not entitled to the visa
in the first place.
