Hello folks,
On DS-156 for fiancee visa question 25 says: "Do you intend to work in the US?"
My fiancee currrently works as a Medical Doctor, and understandably, she cannot start
to work as an MD the next day she arrives. She intends to get her license, by taking
the USMLE exams, and then start working in her field.
So, we think, if she answers "No," the consulate may interprete it as she's not
intending to make US her home -> by not intending to work here; and if she answers
"Yes," then the question asks to provide information about the US employer, which
understably is not available at this time. It's kinda dillema for us now.
Any help and/or clarification here will be appreciated.
Thank you, George F.

They won't care whether she is intending to work or not. It's a general-purpose
form, used for other visa types too. Put something like 'Yes when settled' or even
'Yes when licensed' or some such. And for employer, just put 'not yet known' or
something. It's NOT a problem. (This from personal experience).
