Default Does anyone have any experience bringing children in as a K2?

I have a son that I'm bringing in as part of my petition (k1) ... and have
several questions surrounding this one, but will start with this one initial
question!

My son will be staying in Canada to finish school, so will be following me
approx 2 months later. That in itself is not a problem, but what I need to
know is ....
I'm getting married in between the time I leave and the time he actually
moves ... can he travel down to the US for my wedding, come back to Canada
and then move to the US when he's done school?

I sent an email to the consulate about this one, and their answer was that
it would be up to the people at the POE as to whether or not they'd let him
go ... don't really want to wait till he's at the airport to find that out!!

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thx!

Maybe, maybe not... He can tell INS that he is only visiting and doesn't
want to activate the K-2.
Whether they permit this is up to them. I would say they would be more
likely to do it then less.

The consulate's answer was the correct one. It is up to the POE.
