Default DCF- Time between Medical and Interview- Your Experience

Hi all,

Just looking for your experiences on this (no snarkiness please).

Hubby did his medical on 15 August and we still haven't heard anything yet about the interview date.

I know my mileage may vary, and that I can't go off what other's experiences are, but I just want an idea on how long it took after the medical for you to get word of your interview date.

(DCF filing London)

Thanks!

Well, we're 3 weeks after our medical and 5 weeks since the DS2001 and DS230 were received and still no word.
My husband was offered a job that starts Dec 1 and he has to give in answer in a couple weeks so I called the customer number and got an email code. I emailed them yesterday telling them the circumstance change and we hope to hear something in the next few days because this waiting is a pain as it puts everything on hold!

Good luck to you!

I had my medical on 24th July, sent my DS-2001 form off and my readiness form, and heard back about 2 weeks after my medical, and had my interview on 28th August.

Just to let you know, we had our medical 8/8 and had sent our DS forms two weeks before that. We hadn't heard anything so I got an email passcode Wednesday and sent an email to them telling them of my husband's job offer and asked if we could have an early september interview rather than later. Clearly, he can't accept a job offer without knowing if he is approved or not. So, today we got an email telling us of our interview date in two weeks.

Just an fyi

I think you need to retype the email. It got starrred out by our filter somehow.

I was just wondering what K visa did you apply for? For fiancé or spouse?

Ive been hearing different things about the schedule for the visa interview and the medical examination. I applied for the K1 fiance visa and a friend of mine told me she didnt have to wait until the embassy received the results from the exam until she could schedule her visa appointment. Does anybody has experience with the fiance visa in this regard? Do I really need to attend a medical exam first until I can schedue an appointment for my visa interview?

Thanks!

I'm just wondering who you are asking this question of, since there are several visa applicants posting in this thread. At least one of them is clearly applying for an immigrant visa, not a K visa.

Regards, JEff
