CSC Timelines requested
I'm looking for anyone who has gone through the California Service
Center for the Fiance Visa succesfully. Would you please give me your
timeline so I have an idea of how long to expect. Even if the visa
hasn't been approved and issued yet, could you let me know where
you're at so far? I haven't turned the petition in yet but I'll be
doing so this week. Thanks!

I received a first notice date of Aug. 2, 2002, from CSC after
submitting an I-129f for Natalia and her daughter, residents of St.
Petersburg, Russia. The Notice of Action at that time indicated: "It
usually takes 89 to 90 days from the date of this receipt for us to
process this type of case." Monday will be day 80. Each day I go to:
https://egov.ins.-
usdoj.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/caseStat.jsp
and check for the petition's approval. Even though there is a
reasonable expectation for our first hurdle to be crossed in less than
two weeks, the interview and issuance in Russia is most uncertain. You
see, the lunatics our tax dollars are funding are happy for terrorists
from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to easily immigrate, while my wife to
be-a medical doctor- and her 13 year old daughter are perceived as a
national security risk. Three months ago I began this process with
patience, optimism and love in my heart. I will leave it to your
imagination to describe the agony I'm now feeling. Why is MY
government treating me this way? It is ironic I must apologise to a
Russian national for the American bureaucracy. (Consider the origin of
the term "red tape".) My home is in an area underserved by medical
providers. Articles in the local newspaper decry the lack of medical
care. My hope is for my bride to be able to assist in that need,
someday. The doctors here leave because the $150,000 a year is
insufficient for their lifestyle. After 7 YEARS of honest to God
medical school, etc. Natalia earns about $100 per month. She has the
training and heart to help us here in our small community. However,
State Department, in their infinite wisdom, believes airline hijacking
and plastic explosive manufacture is part of the medical training in
Russia. I'm convinced.
I have someone in Moscow now and would request any assistance
from anyone who can network us to someone there who my be able to
assist us in the processing of our petition. My email:
[email protected]
Please, if you have or know of anyone who can help, I will be most
grateful.
