CR-1 embassy interview - quick question
UKC living in UK, married to USC living in US - we applied through NVC, and so far everything has gone pretty smoothly except for <waves arms around> everything in the world right now.
I've got my interview at the embassy in London at the end of March 2021, and I have one quick question that I'm hoping someone here might be able to answer: do I need to bring the original versions of the I-864 forms we submitted to the NVC (i.e., my spouse/sponsor's and my joint sponsor's)? I'm sure I have read here before that original versions are recommended for the DCF interviews - but I'm not sure whether that also applies to those who have applied through NVC. Your advice/experience is much appreciated - as it has been all through this process! |
Re: CR-1 embassy interview - quick question
You are supposed to bring the originals to the interview, yes. That being said, they might not ask for them. But if possible, better to be prepared.

Re: CR-1 embassy interview - quick question
As Rene said, bring originals for everything you possibly can. Even if they're a PITA to obtain, it would be annoying to delay obtaining your visa due to not having an original of something.

Thank you both! I'll get them sent over - hoping that both people kept a hard copy as I asked them to! :fingerscrossed:

Re: CR-1 embassy interview - quick question
Take originals of everything AND good copies of each document you would be willing to surrender to them.
Good luck!! |
