Counselling ?
Just wondering if any of you people who are desperate to go home have tried counselling to see if that helps with perspectives?
I myself desperately want to be in the UK but my fiance intends to remain in Oz. I have struggled to find any work which has lead to me feeling extremely down and terrified about the future and my ability to support myself should I have to. This has also not helped with the socialisation process and suddenly I began to hate everyone and everything to do with Oz.
Just wondered if anyone in a similar situation (?) had tried counselling and whether it had assisted. I would like to know of any positive experiences of it before committing to paying for it (especially given unemployment situation!).
Many thanks.

Many peeps have tried counselling, antidepressants, herbal remedies - all sorts. What might work for someone else may or may not work for you. What have you got to lose (apart from some money)? It will be much more expensive for you to lose your partner and return home to boot). Give it a try.

You need to ask your wife what she wants and ask yourself what you want. Marriage is a joint committment.... ask yoursleves if your are both "giving "in your relationship. As a couple decide what you want to achieve and in particutlar what is it about living in Australia you dislike. is it the fact that you cant get a job or other reasons? If you cant sort it out between yourselves try either Relationships Australia for counselling or your local counselling service at a local community health service......its definately worth a go... good luck... migration is a difficult process... there are no easy answers but seeking advice could help... good luck...

Re: Counselling ?
While you are getting treatment for your depression.
May be do volunteering to get to know people
and also as an introduction to the job market.
At my work, we encouraged our clients to do
volunteering and sometimes a peer support worker would go
with a client on 1to1 until the client gains confidence.
Hang in there, you will get better
