Hi all

We have been through a long process and finally had a bit of movement.

So this is what has happened so far.

- Filed I-129F on 28th September 2019
- USCIS Approved on 28th April 2021
- Letter a few days later with I-797 Notice of Action (Early May 2021)

- Waited 3 months and we got a 1 liner email with our Case Number (29th July 2021)

I have tried to check on updates via the CEAC Website but seems it is not possible.

Is the next step just waiting for the US Embassy in London to contact me or is my fiancee (Petitioner) supposed to get further letter/email on further forms she needs to complete and forward to me in UK?.

Thank you for reading and hope someone can enlighten me. I get very stressed with uncertainty and the waiting.

Although a K-1 visa is a non-immigrant classification, it is processed “as if” an immigrant classification.

My recollection is that you have to book your own appointment with a K1, and there seems a massive backlog of K1 compared to say CR1 as they were prioritised.

I also came across a WoM issue where this no longer works as K1's would not be automatically re-validated.
