It means your I-751 is approved. All the approval notices for I-751 refer to an I-89.

A quick Google search found this:

"At the time when one goes to receive the I-551 (green card) stamping of an I-485 approval, the USCIS Officer will fill out the I-89 Form, which is a request put in for the green card to be made by the Service Center. Please note the USCIS Officials are responsible in filling out this form and submitting it to the Service Center."

So it seems I-89 is the form for green card production.

I agree with that. I watched the officer fill out one for DH's card after I-751 approval.

I doubt it. I imagine they filed the I-89 once your I-751 was approved, so they could manufacture the 10-year card. Getting an I-551 stamp is not related to the I-751 approval.

No.

To make it even more clear:

I-751 is the form the alien uses for removing conditions from a 2-year green card.

I-89 is the form USCIS uses to order green card production.

Why are you so anxious about this? There is *nothing* for you to do... and nowhere to go for help. You were a PR yesterday... and you're still a PR today. You really need to switch to decaf!

If you want to go through all that trouble, you probably can make an Infopass appointment to go ask in person. But the fact that they've ordered card production should be enough to tell you the I-751 was approved. Just wait for your green card to show up in the mail.

Did you check your case status at the USCIS site or are you only relying on e-mails sent by them to you?

The USCIS case status updates and the email alerts are not 100% reliable. Sometimes you will get a notice, sometimes not. Sometimes your status will be updated, sometimes not. The only real thing is what you receive in the mail from USCIS, and you were just lucky that you received an email update which gives you the clue that your green card is on the way.

Just be patient. It will show up in the mail.
