Default Conditional Residency

Hi there,

I have kind of a stupid question, but was just wondering what exactly Conditional Residency entitles a person to?
Travel without A/P??
Work without EAD??

Thanks for any replies.!

Default Re: Conditional Residency

Conditional permanent residents have the same rights, privileges and responsibilities as permanent residents. This include the right to leave and re-enter the US without A/P although a re-entry permit is required if the stay outside of the US is longer than one year in length. It also includes the right to work without having a formal EAD card.

In addition to what Rete said, the time as a CPR also counts for the naturalization
requirement of 3 years as a PR.
