Conditional Permanent Residency question

I don't expect a war, but if there was one, the treatment of PR's might be dependent
on where they came from. However, this hasn't been an issue in post WW2 times. We did
not deport Iraqis PR's during the Gulf War era, just because they were from Iraq. If
we attack Kabul, I expect this would also be the case. However, what it does mean is
that people here illegally would be more quickly deported. In the current
investigation, many people were detained due to being out of status.

Hi there everyone,
Well the interview was painless, I got my stamp here in Orlando last week (She did
mention we should have gone the K-1 route, but didn't ask why we didn't it was just a
passing comment).
Anyway, now that war has/is being declared, will there be a possibilty that
conditional or non conditional residents based on married may be sent back to their
home country? Something tells me no as the US want to keep families together during
wars, but it's just a thought. I'm from the UK BTW - if anywhere I would think it
would be suspects from the middle east but that's just my train of thought,
And be good to each other, just because someone is from a country that did this
doesn't mean they are bad people, just as you can't control what people from your own
countries do - we are all individual.

I agree with Michael(!). My wife was asking if the US and the UK should ever go to
war, would I be stripped of my GC (which obviously I don't have yet) and deported.
After some thought I concluded:
a) There was no basis in immigration law for this though you could probably cobble
something together under national security
b) The past behavior of the US in this regard (in World War II) haunts the US
government now so I don't think they would do it again
c) We'd smuggle ourselves into Canada and live there.
