Closure

Is it just me or does anyone else get really disappointed with the lack of closure from some of the wild postings by strange folk wanting to move to the US.

Did the pool cleaning business work out?
Were they turned away at the border?
Was the dog impounded?
Did whatever crazy scheme work?
Did they show us and become famous despite what Simon Cowell said about their singing?

Ooops, that last one slipped in. I need closure dammit!!

Yes it sure does and I think its rude to be honest when some folk get all in a fluff or really need to hear from like minded folk, and what do they do absorb all the info or totally refuse to believe the truth and never come back to tell the tale for others to learn by......hope their plots all failed and their bottoms became invested in bumble bees

I was just thinking this the other day. Some of them get left on such hangers.

Re: Closure

I assumed they just never posted to acknowledge that people on here were right, and they were still stuck back in the UK.

You would think if they proved the knowledge base on here wrong, human nature being what it is, they would post to boast about it.

and where do all the people who have been active on here get off on just leaving. You could at least tell us why you're not coming here anymore.

Someone also just moved here on hubby's L and then he was made redundant just after they arrived, what happened?:curse:

It's a closed thread, though.

For those of us, like me, who never saw that thread and don't want to read 51 pages of it...is there a CliffNotes version?

No, no there is not. You can not fully appreciate the chaine maile story without reading every post. Pay attention to the dates.

hmm, good point about it being closed now.. that happens automatically. Is it worth ressurecting?

well thanks for that - I must be one of a very small group of long time members of this site who could never be arsed to actually read that thread, although I feel like I picked up the gist of it from the numerous references to it on other threads.

Re: Closure

Try looking for the ending to these stories for the last 14 years. I'm wondering about the guy who brought over his Austrian fiancee who left the US before marrying him to go home and then decided once she was in Austria that she wanted to come back to the US and he had to go the K-1 route again.

And Joe Blow from Canada (it was a girl btw) who came to the US for one guy and feel in love with his brother instead. Wonder how that worked out.

Maybe I need to write a book

And then there is Ian the SP. A canuck of many passports who is educated and incorrigible and a real SP at times. Wonder how he got Shelia to put up with him for 14 years????????

Re: Closure

The most interesting couple we had on the marriage-based visa forums has to go to the female turned male married to a female couple. They married after her surgurcial correction. She was Canadian; had been married while a female and had children of her own. The second marriage worked beautiful apparently and he was able to get a green card and later then adopted her grandchildren.

Should look about for that story.
