Default Checking case status error?

Was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this and if people are having similar issues. We filed the I-129F petition and recieved the acceptance letter and also Form I-797 a week later in the mail. The acceptance letter stated that we could check the status of our case on USCIS website using the receipt number, however when we tried to do so we recieve this message

"validation errors, you must correct the following before proceeding: At this time the USCIS cannot provide you with any information for your case. Please contact the NCSC (then a telephone number) for additional information"

Has anyone else experienced this before? I didn't know whether it was because we literally got the I-797 in the mail this Saturday and our details weren't on the system yet?? I don't know if im just worrying over nothing or whether we should call the number given and find out whats happening?

Just give it more time... several weeks at least. .. and then try checking.

I take it everything went according to plan though Waza? Did you ever call and ask about the case?

Eventually everything went to plan, they turned me down at first. When I called they just said the system might be down, " keep checking", which I did, but it was the same all the time, in the end I just gave up on the website and just waited until I got the letter.

Others have mentioned that checking the status on-line is a path to madness. If memory serves me correct, one of the posters who said that noted that long after he had adjusted, removed the condition and then naturalized, his spouse's I-130 and his I-485 still appeared on-line as "pending."

Oh wow, okay so maybe i shouldn't worry so much. Will they email or send a letter to provide key information such as when the I-129F is approved and is at the consulate ready for me to do what i need to do in the UK? ( Medical, ds-160 etc etc) or should i get my partner to regularly call and check in?

Eventually there will be an I-129F approval notice sent via regular mail to the petitioner.

Not sure nowadays how the LND case number gets to you, but when you have that, you can book your medical exam. NVC assigns the LND case numbers, but for K-1 visas, your paperwork speeds right through NVC. Sometimes NVC sends a notice that they've forwarded the case to the embassy, sometimes they don't. We never got one.

Everytime I called about my case, all they said was " your case is being reviewed" Even my attorney said checking your case online is usually a waste of time.. Just sit tight and wait for your letter in the post.
