Default Change of job position during Green card processing

My company is about to start my green card processing under EB3. per
the current list, it is taking more than 5+ yrs for EB3 category cases
to be processed. My company is applying at a sr. programmer level and
by the
time visa number becomes available, if I get to the manager level,
would that require restarting Green Card processing?
Are there any risks if the company applies at the Manager level now ,
even though I am at a Sr. Programmer level? Does the company face any
risks in doing so.?
Any help in this regards will be appreciated.
Thanks
M

HI

if your immigrant visa is under process and you move up the laddar - it shall have no effect on the process - it will continue.

Related question:
If you move up the ladder and become eligible for higher visa category,
does it make sense to reapply under EB2? - Does the process have to start
from the very beginning if you reapply under higher category?
