Canadian wife working with American Husband in US
Hello,
I am a US citizen living in Canada. I work for a Canadian company who
has a project they would like me to work on in the US. They would also
like my wife to work there, but She is Canadian.
What would be the most expediant procedure to get Her legal to work
along with me, in the US??
Thanks in advance

In other words, your wife has a job already lined up in the US?
It depends on WHAT her job is to some extent. If she qualifies as a NAFTA
professional, it should be a piece of cake - take a letter of employment to
the border saying "we want to hire her for position XYZ" (where XYZ is on
the approved list), and you should be good to go..
Definitely See:

TN is good for a year, with renewals relatively easily available for up to 2
or 3 years total, I believe.
Not sure what to do if she DOESN'T qualify as a professional.
I am by NO MEANS an expert on this. Just a fellow Canadian who has heard
about this from a few people. So take this advice with caution - please do
NOT rely on it without further verification!

Thank to both MH and NCTarheel for your replies. Yes, She has a job
with the same company I work for. It is a clerical position, so I doubt
the TN would work. But I will read up on it, and thanks for the prompt
replies!
