canadian applying for a US green card
My canadian collegue is preparing for his greed card application.
Currently he works in US on H1B, his family is still in Canada. They
are all canadian citizen.
(1) When filing I480, should he add his family members in the Part 7
of I480. Will this affect them to get H4? Are the people listed in
Part 7 of I480 required to be in US?
(2) While waiting for I485, can he or his family member leave USA and
enter into US with H1 or H4? Is H1 or H4 holder allowed to stay
outside USA for a certain period e.g. 4 months when I485 is
processing?
