Can you please tell me what type of questions do i expect at the Mumbai Consulate.
Hi, I would like to know what type of questions are asked at the mumbai
consulate during the inetrview for K1 fiance visa. I have had my
visitors visa rejected twice in the year 2000. Will this have any
effect on the Ki visa application or interview. In this case are there
any specific questions that can be asked or any specific proofs that I
need to carry for my interview.

Hi,
Your previous B-1/B-2 denials should not affect your K-1, assuming the
denials were not based on criminal history or security issues. Your
K-1 interview is basically held so that the consul can determine that
you are eligible for the K-1 visa. He/she needs to be convinced that
there is an ongoing valid relationship that is heading towards
marriage, and the K-1 route is not being taken for immigration benefits
only. My interview was held in October 2002 in Montreal, Canada. My
wife (then fiancee') was present. This is how that went after we both
took the oath:-
Consul (to me): First marriage?
Me: Yes
Consul (to my fiancee'): First marriage?
She: Yes
Consul (to me): Any kids?
Me: No
Consul (to my fiancee'): Any kids?
She: No
Consul (to my fiancee'): Where do you work?
She: I work for xxxxxxx in New York City.
That was it. I got my visa a week after that since I was missing a
police report that I submitted a few days after the interview. Good
luck at your interview.

US citizenship.
