Yes, you can. I don't really see why you would, since the lawyer really
doesn't do much any more after the I-485 has been filed, but you can.

It's simple: you tell the new lawyer that you are hiring him, and the
old lawyer that you are fired. The new lawyer will have to file one form
informing USCIS of the change, but that's about it.

Why not? There is nothing in the law that says you have to have a lawyer to
submit any application forms. It is highly recommended at times but not
mandatory!
