Calling the embassy
I just received a call from the embassy to reschedule my interview from 29th august to the 23rd.
I was in a work meeting and said it would be ok, but I just realised I am flying out on the 25th for the BH weekend and will need my passport.
What are my options? I am trying to call the US embassy but I can't find a number to get through to anyone - help? Thanks.

Use the Contact Us page on the website.
I don't know what BH means, but maybe the trip can be cancelled? Which one is more important to you?

Sorry, BH = bank holiday. I already used the contact us page, hopefully they will get it. I was hoping to speak to them though!

Don't know if this is at all possible but can't you go to their appointment calendar and just change the date?

Re: Calling the embassy
All,
Thanks for your help regarding the above question.
In case anyone else is in a similar situation...
I went to my newly scheduled interview date (23rd Aug) and told the first gentleman behind the window that I needed my passport in 3 days.
He took a note of this and when I had my 'interview' the person behind the 2nd window simply asked all the usual questions, and noted that I needed my passport so gave me back the passport along with a single piece of paper stating that I needed to courier "required documents" (in this case just the passport) within 12 months.
I went on my trip, couriered the passport in the first week of September and received my passport with the visa today. Happy days!
