the bible is all you need,

all of the cults have an extra book to go along with the bible.

Hmm..

Does that include the additions to the Tanakh?

What about the Mishnah and additional commentaries?

This isn't about my own personal theological beliefs.

Yes, admittedly I am playing Devil's Advocate here.

I am just predisposed to challenging people's arguments when I would like to hear the justification for such an argument or accusation. It's all about perception and perception of what is and is not the truth differs from individual circumstance to individual circumstance.

If someone has a logical reasoned argument I am very intersted to hear it. With as open a mind as I am able to muster.

Even if I ultimately disagree with said argument it is an opportunity to learn :)

My point was that from a Jewish prospective that the "New Testament" is not valid so it all depends upon someone's standpoint as to what constitutes an "extra book".

I have studied many comparative theologies and respected them even though I do not believe in them. Some I have found questioned the beliefs I held at the time - others did not.

I did not regret however the enlightenment I gained from reading any of them and fully respect the right and zeal of those who do believe. I do not believe in insulting someone for their faith or apparent lack of it excepting possibly those which have practices which are deemed harmful to the safety and moral fabric of society.

Also subjective and another can of worms in itself IMHO.

Btw what do you know of the Kabbalistic tradition and Jewish mysticism?

Even the "Catholic bible" has a book which has been omitted in every Protestant bible I have ever seen due to it's "magical" content.

The book is that of Tobit and involves the Demon Asmodeus (also defined as Beelzebub, Apollyon or ASIThIEDAI) and the virgin Sara.

He is referenced far more in Jewish scripture. For instance being intregal to the story of Solomon.

Is this also to be considered "spaced out fiction"?

All i know is they are true............... you sound like you know it too, maybe your just scared to admit it too?! Also you sound pretty familiar with the 'Cult' books?! hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Anywayz, nothing can change my views so dont even go there. Go pick on some one who cares!
