According to the DOS reciprocity table -- this was true from 1917 to 1950. Since then the P.I. courts have been allowed to adjudge legal seperations, not divorces.

[There may very well be anullments, but I don't know for sure].

However, it is possible for a Filipino to get divorced OUTSIDE of the P.I.

There is no requirement, as far as the US is concerned, that divorce
occur in the country of marriage.

I agree.

Yes there is annulment in the P.I. and legal separation but the court
there wil try its best not to give you annulment & L.S.

I believe so, but the validity of this divorce from other country for
use in K-1 or K-3 is my concern since the divorce certificate is one
of the requirements.

I am not Mormon, but the official view from the church of LDS is against
polygamy.

Hey Brad.............. I am a mormon!

And to add my two cents......... Mormons havent practised polygamy since 1890. The whole polygamy issue didnt just come about............ there WAS a reason. Any person claiming to be mormon who practise polygamy simply isnt a mormon.......... some never have been.......... they just liked the idea so they adopted it.

When ppl find out im a mormon.......... this subject ALWAYS comes about.......... my general answer to this is............... I can JUST afford one wife, anymore and id be broke!

Take care all
