Default Arrrr...

Just a rant, recieved a letter from bcis asking for evidence of my K1 status and for a copy of my birth cert....of which they have a couple copies when we sent in the stuff for the AOS, not to mention regarding the BC, having sent a copy in for the initial K1 as well....
Grrrr....how annoying is that....
other than that, not a bad day

Hmm, thought you'd read about International Talk Like a Pirate Day...

"We are asking people to get beyond 'arrr,' " John Baur says. For example, one can enrich one's pirate talk by simply adding the words "me hearty" to the end of a sentence, he says."

"Sea-dogs and saucy wenches worldwide will be gruntin', grinnin' and swillin' grog on Sunday, which, as any one-eyed, parrot-totin' scurvy dog can tell you, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day."

LOL! There is no one in the world who does a better pirate than Mr. Pink---he calls me "Me Proud Beauty" and I go all weak-kneed, girly and giggly.

Thanks for the laugh, Mo.....and Bob, good luck!

LMAO..as soon as I read the thread title, I thought pirate too!

SG, there is no reason to be sharing what you do in the bedroom with MrP...hmmm..may have to get mine to do a good imitation tonight..especially after seeing Johnny Depp as a pirate...God I loved that movie..

Bob, hang in there..if you don't laugh at it, it'll just drive you insane.

G'night me hearties...

(I can't believe I've been dragged away from the Cubs game to type something in a pirate voice. *sigh*)

I've got a small selection of pirate phrases, like "Give this 'ere black spot ter Blind Pew". (It sounds so much better if you can *hear* it, honest)

Oh, and "Avast there, yer scurvy knaves" (that wasn't too bad). When we were working on the Affidavit of Support I was prone to saying "Oi give 'ee moy affeydavey" which would be pretty cool if you've seen Treasure Island (which I haven't, so it kind of sucks).

Finally, my favourite has got to be "Four and twenty mariners adrift in the China Sea, and nary a ship's biscuit a'tween 'em". (That's a good one, that is).

So, there's my Pirate repertoir. The long winter evenings just fly by...

Cheers, matey!

Well rang up my local office in Portland, apparantly the whole package of stuff isn't forwarded, only bits of it are, so some of the papers might have been misplaced, which is slightly worrying ain't it...but least I don't need a certified birth cert, a photocopy will do
