Default AR11?

Hi all, just a very quick question, I am here as a permanent resident, with conditions, been here since July 2012.

Just changed address, am I right in saying that the form I need to actually mail in is an AR11, and there is no fee for this form?

Many thanks, and happy christmas all

You can file the AR-11 online, but yes - no fee, and it's the only form you need to use for a change of address. If your sponsor also moved, the sponsor must file an I-865, but that one can't be done online. You will not receive notice of receipt for either, so don't worry if you don't get one!

Thanks Ian.

Went through the USCIS site, and the only way I can find to do it is to fill it in, print and send it. The site takes you through the process, and generates a PDF to print and sign.

Doing that as we speak

Just curious. If we were to move to the UK while my husband still has his green card (intending to live there permanently), would my husband and I (sponsor) still need to file our change of address forms to the USCIS for whatever the period of time is until his permanent residency is surrendered/expires/is revoked/is deemed abandoned?

If the intent is to move back permanently and surrender his green card, there is a different form for that.

If the intent is to live outside the USA for a period of time without intent to abandon PR status, he should get a re-entry permit just in case he wants to return to the USA.

In general, I would say yes, you need to do the change of address if you move from your current address, no matter where you go.
