Default Appointments at the Embassy in London

I've currently got an NIW going through at the moment (6 months in, so hopefully I should be hearing soon)
The next stage is to submit the adjustment of Status (I-485) which will end up in London as I'm UK based. I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through the visa process in London recently and can give me a ball park on appointment wait times?

I went for an interview 3 weeks ago for a b2 visa, wait times to book a interview were you could book a interview for the next day if you wanted, or within a few days, wait times once inside the Embassy vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for, some people were in and out within a hour others were 3 to 4 hours

B2 seemed to be taking the longest, i went in at around 8am and was out for 11.50am, mine was on a firday which i think could be a little more busy then other week days, i saw many people that were in and out in under an hour

Thanks, I know every visa is different, so it's nice to know you weren't waiting 6 months or something like that. I'm expecting 4 weeks so anything sorter than that would be a bonus.

The I-485 form is for an Adjustment of Status from within the USA, used for adjusting from a non-immigrant status to permanent resident status. It's not something that's done through London.

Are you sure you're talking about the I-485?

Your quite right and I have no idea why I mentioned it since the NIW is for perm resident. Feel free to ignore that part

Doesn't NIW stand for non-immigrant waiver? How can that be for permanent residency?

NIW also stands for "national interest waiver".

This is why I hate acronyms, and am using them less and less in my posts. This isn't Twitter, and bandwidth nor storage nor memory are limiting factors as they once might have been.

Laziness, however, is a hard habit for some posters to overcome.
