Hi,
I am getting my citizenship very soon. My wife (in the US) is holding a
F1 student visa (from Hong Kong). I will be applying green card for her.
Here are what I am going to do. Please advise me for any problem or mistake
you may find.
1. We will both go to local USCIS office (San Jose).
2. Turn in these applications:
- I130
- I485
- EAD, advance parole (what forms?)
3. From that point on, she does not have to maintain full time student
status at school in order to stay in the US.
Thanks

You have the right forms (the EAD form is I-765, by the way). But instead of submitting them in person, you must file them at the Chicago lockbox facility. Check www.uscis.gov for the address. There's a notice about it on the front page. Also on that site, check new fees as of October 26th, in case the printed forms are wrong (high possibility). Don't forget you will need to complete form I-864 Affidavit of Support, as her financial sponsor.
Best Wishes,
Rene

Hi Rene,
Thanks you for answering my questions. You mentioned I MUST submit ALL
the forms to a service center (California). And, you refered me to a USCIS
site notice. I can find one notice related to green card application.
USCIS Notifies Certain I-90 "Green Card" Applicants of Process Change
However, I think this is only for reason b or d. Also, do I need to file
I-90? Did I overlook some important notice?
From the I130 guide,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If the Form I-130 petition is being filed concurrently
with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence
or Adjust Status, submit both forms at the local USCIS office
having jurisdiction over the place where the Form I-485
applicant resides.
-----------------------------------------------------
Has this been changed?
If I really need to send the forms to the CA service center, when does my
wife not have to maintain full time student status for F1.
Thanks,
