Default AP taking too long

My first NOA for I131 was May 13th with its reciept date of Feb 26th. It is July 20th and I still havent been approved. I asked for status update on the phone on July 1st, which I havent seen yet. Does this take so long to process?

Also my first application for I765 was denied on May 10th with its reciept date of Feb 26th, which I mailed off on Jan 8th. My OPT ran out on June 1st and Im no longer working. Its second application was sent on May 14th. It seems that my applications are taking way too long to process compared to some other people..

Appreciate any inputs..

I know no one cares but I thought I would respond to myself, just for those who may be in the same shoes.

My case status online's last updated date had changed as of July 30th. This probably means my I131 is getting close to get approved or better yet being approved. I hope to find an approved letter from them within 2 weeks to pick I131 accordingly.

I will miss a family trip to Niagara Falls that was planned on August 14th, but I will be able to travel within and out of the US in the near future to see my family in Japan.

Some threads mentioned that there were two types of I131, one was for 3 months and other other was 12 months. I dont know what I will be getting, if there are some other people with I131 already approved, I would like to receive info on that...

I received my AP valid for a year today!
I also got the interim EAD on the 91st day. I am back to work and everything seems to be going well. Good luck with everyone else's process!
