Applied for AP and EAD, application received by BCIS (MSC) March 18. Haven't heard anything from them yet 60 days for AP is up on May 16. I am traveling in 2 weeks. What do I do?
EAD's 90 days is going to be on June 15. How do I get an interim card if I don't hear from them by then?
Thanks for your response.

hey magpie - it should give you a date on your receipt that you can "go to them in writing" after - is that date May 16th? where did you apply (meaning where is it being processed?) I think that MAYBE ( i need other people to vet this for me) you can go down to the closest INS ASC and see if they'll give you AP that same day - that's what I did (though I had an emergency and needed to leave almost right away) not too sure...
about the EAD - i do know about this one! to get your interim you need to go down to the ASC where you filed ( i believe, or your closest ASC) and request your interim EAD. I went down to Jacksonville after the 90 day mark (if your 90 days is up June 15th then go on or after june 16th) and requested it - they gave it to me no problem and that card is good until December of this year! hope that helps!

The USCIS ASC is the Application Support Center for fingerprinting services. Are you saying you sent your petitions to them and actually went to them for an interim EAD instead of to the local district office of USCIS? Just trying to understand if this is a new procedure.

Just got off the phone with an INS rep!
They just approved my EAD and AP! So happy!
By the way for those of you asking about when to start counting the 60-90 day rule... It's confirmed that you start counting on the Received Date!!!
Good luck to all!
