Has anyone applied for Advance Parole from Chicago?
What kind of reasons are good enough? Is visiting your family? What kind
of letter of explanation did you write? Did you also include a cover
letter? If so what did you write in the cover letter? How long did it
take to get your papers from Chicago after applying?

According to reports, Chicago want to see plane tickets before you can get
AP - which is ridiculous on most levels. My suggestion is to "plan" a couple
of trips to Canada, driving of course, for which they should grant AP
without any issues.
