Default AOS Seattle Completed w Timeline

Hi all,

In case anyone is waiting on AOS (I-130 and K3/4) in Seattle, here's our
timeline. We had our interview today and have a lovely little stamp in our
passports. The interview was painless and went very fast - recommend taking
a cranky 4 year old with you if possible - seems to have sped things up. The
interviewer spent much of the time flirting with the little fellow and
trying to charm him. The chocolates she presented him with went a long way
to breaking the ice. She swore us in all at once and we answered the few
standard "Have you ever..." questions. She glanced at some of the mound of
evidence we brought but seemd most interested in the photo album(s) and the
baby pictures of said 4 year old. She flirted outrageously with my 15 year
old and was delighted to make him blush. Pretty unintimidating all round.
It was interesting to see that in each of the four files (one for me and
each of the kids), the package I had submitted was pretty much intact along
with the tabs at the bottom of the pages. She (the interviewer) said that it
made her job a lot easier.

I-130 applied through NSC April 10, 2001
1st NOA May 12, 2001
I-129f (K3/4) applied July 2001
1st NOA August 30, 2001
I-130 approved November 5, 2001
I-129f approved November 9, 2001 (Got this notice first)
Submitted packet 3 early January 2002 Vancouver for K3/4
No interview required
K3/4s received 1st week February 2002
AOS/EAD applied October 15, 2002 Seattle
EAD appointment and issue December 20, 2002 Seattle
SSN applied December 20, 2002 Olympia
SSN card received 1st week January 2003
Fingerprinting appointment January 15, 2003 (got the appointment letter
sometime in December)
Received AOS appointment letter May 13, 2003
June 20 - Seattle - Successful interview and stamps in all four shiny new
passports. Told to expect 10 year green card in 6 weeks - 6 months. Was told
if they come very quickly, we should exam them carefully as there would
likely be mistakes.

So there...we're done for 3 or 10 years...whatever we decide.
Many thanks to all the folks on here who, without knowing it, made my life
and INS...oops...BCIS....experience relatively painless. All the great
information I got from this group helped enormously in making sure there
were no mistakes made and we pretty much knew what to expect along each step
of the way.

Lorrie (Can) and Jeff (US) and all the kiddies (some Can, some US and one
both)
