Re: AOS questions
I can only answer a few of your questions. I am filing at the Chicago
Office as well and the EAD is a 90 day wait (working days it seems) and for
AOS they say it's between 18-24 months.
Enjoy the waiting........ ;-)

AOS questions
All,
A few quick questions before a weekend of putting together AOS
papers...
I will be adjusting status from K1 since our wedding last month. We
live in Illinois so I assume we file the AOS paperwork, including the
I-765, with the Chicago INS office and NOT Nebraska?
On the I-765 form, question 9 asks for a social security number (which
I have) and also any other numbers I have ever used. I worked over
here a few years ago on short-term assignment through work and was
assigned an ITIN number (since I was ineligible for an SSN at the
time). Should I list the ITIN here too, or are they only interested in
the SSN?
Question 11 on the same form asks if I have ever applied for
employment authorization from the INS before. On my assignment I was
here on an L1 visa, but as far as I can recall never had to
specifically lodge anything for work authorization (since the L1 took
care of that). Since I never had an EAD (aside from the bulky L1
papers), I take it the answer to this one would be no?
With a bit of luck we can get these papers filed before the end of
next week! btw what's the latest on EAD and interview wait-times for
Chicago?
Thanks!
Andrew
