AOS question Dallas
Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me with this question. My wife
and I got married on a k1 visa. I sent in all the paper work for AOS.
It came back to me, saying that the I-140 referenced by me belongs to
your Fiancee, not yourself and file an I-140 for myself. Nowhere in
the instructions states an I-140 is needed, and I think an I-140 is
for an AOS for an employer and employee. I did not send in an I-140. I
sent I-485, I-864, bio graph data and supporting documents. So, what
do they mean by an I-140?
Thanks for your help. By the way her k1 visa has expired, but I sent
in the papers before the expiration date, any problems with this??
