I am planning to marry a girl from Thailand who has a tourist visa that is valid. Is
it better (least amount of time)to:
1) Go to Thailand, get married there, and apply for a visa for her while I am there,
or
2) Have her come here, get married, then submit form I-485...how fast can I get a
visa for her so we can proceed to Thailand (see below) and get married there, and
then come back to the states?
The plan at this point is that her family is planning wedding in Thailand for Sep 30,
2001. What I don't want is to mess things up so that she won't be able to come back
with me when I return. Help!

Try the following link, accept the disclaimer and go to DCF Which Visa which will
advise you if Thailand does or doesn't do DCF (direct consular filing) if you are
fortunate and they will do this then your new spouse will enter the States fully
adjusted saving alot of dealing with the INS for a couple of years.
Also check out Tourist Visa for advice on bringing her to the US marrying and then
filing for AOS http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/...o/visainfo.htm
