Default AOS in NYC. processed in MSC. What to do?

Hi,
We got married with my wife in US. she entered on J1 visa and
overstayed it.
She has a j1 without 2 year rull. She applied for AOS through i-130,
filed
by me, since I am US citizen. We send a package with I-485, I-130,
I-765 and I-864 form all bundeled together to NYC INS office on
October 13, 2003.
On October 22 we received the NOA for eche of the forms mentioned with
numbers
diffrent by one digit except for the I-864 and I-485, which have the
same receipt number. All notices starts with MSC, So I presume it was
transfered
to Missouri. I called to setup appointment with local ASC for two
dates. One for i-765 biometrics and second for I-485 fingerprinting.
When she came
to the them, she was offered to do biometrics and fingerprinting for
both
forms at the same day, by people in the Aplication Support center
(ASC).
Everything was done there and she got stamps placed on each of the
forms I-485 and I-765. Later I looked on the both forms and the stamps
been stating exectly
following:
LIFE ACT PROCESSING STAMP
ASC SITE CODE:
Biometrics QA Review BY:
TENPRINTS QA REVIEW BY:
We did not filed AOS based on Life Act, but marriage based on I-130.

A have following questions:

1.Any one with the case similar to ours: married in US without k1/k3
process
had their case transfered to Missouri?
2. What kind of stamp was placed on your NOAs during biometrics &
fingerprinting?
3. Should we be conserned that INS mishandeled our case and if that is
the case
what we should do?

Thanks everyone to response.

Hello,

My husband is here on a K3 Visa. When we filed for AOS in October 2003, we received notices with receipt numbers starting with MSC. Don't worry about it, its a new procedure now which I dont fully understand myself, but others have posted about the same situation on the forum. Also, the stamp placed at the ASC is fine. We received the same stamp on the back of our notices.
I know its hard not to stress every little thing when dealing with USCIS, but try not to cause you'll go crazy!!! =-)

Good luck.

~Claudia
