Re: AOS from Maryland to VSC and Baltimore
I don't get how you guys got your interviews so soon. My timeline (was
living until recently in MD, near Washington):
AOS, EAD and AP apps sent late Aug 2002.
NOAs sent Sept 5 2002 (Incorrect fingerprint fee corrected)
EAD Sept. 22 (expires Monday!)
Fingerprints taken Wheaton MD Nov. 7 2002
Since then nothing. Case status online "...We will mail you a notice
if further action is needed, or when a decision is made...."
How do you get an AOS interview before me when you applied after?

Did he mail it in with AOS and EAD to VSC or was it in person? Mine has already been mailed in and they cashed the check already. I was thinking by the time I go for EAD... if I don't have it by then... I would do it after EAD @ Fallon... I do have a specific date in mind... since I'll be driving... I have no way to "prove" it. Is that what they're looking for?

AP for Baltimore only by walk in application. By the way hereis my timeline for AOS. I did my FP at Wheaton BCIS. Very fast and nice employees. I suggest if you got your FP notice first, do it asap rather than waiting for your interview notice. It will help resume your case faster. I am nervous for my upcoming interview. Rob...don't forget to post your experience, I noticed yours will be soon . Good luck!

Re: AOS from Maryland to VSC and Baltimore
Hello all, I just wanted to let you guys know that my reciept date was August 15th. On Wednesday, I went to the BCIS office in Baltimore to find out why I still didn't recieve my EAD appointment letter. I also let them know that I had already recieved my AOS appointment date (Jan 29th 04) They gave me a ticket and I waited for about 2 hours and I got my appointment for monday the 17th of November. I thought it was worth it. I think thoses of you who have somewhat of a similar timeline to mine should give it a shot if you haven't already. Good luck to everybody.

Congrats Gaindeh!
you mentioned your receipt date was August 15th... is that the date VSC put the notice on your I-797 or when it was transferred to Baltimore? My receipt date from VSC is September 2 and transferred on September 10th... the fictional timeline that the USCIS put on the first I-797 showing receipt was 80 days for EAD. By the end of this week, it will have been the full 80 days. I'm wondering if they would do anything for me or if it is only after the full 90 days of waiting as what happened for you.
