Default AOS Interview Questions *Rete???*

Hi NG,

Peter & I have our AOS interview on November 4. I am gathering all
materials, and have a couple of questions.

1. Do I need to submit another original I-864? I already submitted
this form when we applied in July 2002. Have copy.

2. Do I need to submit another letter from my employer? I already
submitted the letter when we applied. Have copy.

I realize the INS is a glutton for repetitiveness and have no problem
submitting new originals. I just want to know if it is a requirement.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Speedy processing to all...

No. Since you only filed 4 months before the AOS interview there is nothing to update unless you changed employers. The foreign spouse has NOT resided there for six months so their income is not includable.

The one you submitted was for the I-864. You should, IMOO, submit one from them stating your new marital status claimed, and beneficiary of your insurance packages.

Hi:

I don't practice in POO. However, POO got to be known as "De-Portland" among Asian travelers. In regards to Paul Gani's post about entry risks, the POE inspectors at POO almost singlehandedly did in Delta's transpracific business which used the Delta hub in Portland [this was long before 9-11]. A few years back the Wall Street Journal had a front page article about a young Canadian who had been paroled in up at Blaine, he was called in to Portland INS, put 25 cents the parking meter. The car was towed and his wife couldn't find him until he called from Vancouver having been sumarrily deported! [BTW, I happend to know the ConOff doing IV's in Montreal at the time, and in an e-mail told him about the article, that it had noted his upcoming visa interview and wasn't it too bad that he could not tell me what happened. Doug responded with an apology and confirmed that he was not allowed to tell me the visa had been granted. But I digress].

My advice -- take another one, update information. It is either wasted effort or you will be glad you did.

Thank you. I did not mean to infer that there are not many, many
knowledgeable people here by addressing you personally. Just
simply...I've been here long enough to have formed a strong trust in
your replies.

Thank you again!
